Segregation of Duties is the concept of having more than one person required to complete a task. In business the separation by sharing of more than one individual in one single task is an internal control intended to prevent fraud and error.
In general, workflow systems implement this concept based on roles with a non overlapping group of users. MDM Enterprise 3.0 implements this as a core feature. In the workflow specification, steps can be marked as SoD relevant. Independent of the users and roles configuration, SoD is guaranteed for these steps.
